Founded in 2018 by Amelia O’Shaughnessy in Agoura Hills, California. The O’Shaughnessy Academy of Irish Dance provides a supportive and encouraging atmosphere in which students work to their highest potential as a competitive Irish dancer. The O’Shaughnessy Academy promotes confidence, teamwork, and respect throughout the training process.

Ballet Folklorico Mestizo
Ballet Folklorico Mestizo

One of Oxnard college’s oldest and most beloved groups is the Ballet Folklorico Mestizo which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2021. Mati Sanchez is the group advisor. The group gave the first two performances in the College’s Performing Arts Center and is one of the Center’s artist in residence. The Ballet puts on a major production each semester on campus and performs at many community events.

We are excited to bring you this new fundraising event. Funds raised from the event will benefit the wide variety of exciting and innovative reading, technical and craft programs for people of all ages in Moorpark.

Tickets for the show are on sale now:
General Admission: $20.00
Seniors & Children (12 and under): $15.00

Please add $1.00 per ticket convenience fee.

Tickets for the event are available through several sources:

  • Direct Sales at the Library - payable via cash or check (to MFOTL)

  • Mail a check payable to MFOTL to: Moorpark Friends of the Library, PO 452, Moorpark, CA 93020  |  Mailed payments must be received by March 6th.

  • On our website via Paypal/credit card

** Tickets ordered via US Mail or online will be available at Will Call at the theater the night of the performance.
