Our third annual music and dance event was a beautiful showcase for our talented performers and a delight to our enthusiastic audience.

Michael Gullo, Guitarist

Michael Gullo, a lifetime resident of Moorpark, began playing classical guitar at age 14. He earned his B.A. in Music/Guitar from Pepperdine University, where he studied under classical guitar virtuoso Christopher Parkening. Michael has performed in Master classes with world-renowned classical guitarists such as Pepe Romero, Ana Vidovic, and Xuefei Yang. He frequently performs with the Ventura County and American Classical Guitar Societies. He has been a soloist with the Moorpark Symphony Orchestra, and has served as featured artist of the week for the Grammy Award-winning composer Andrew York. 

Bollywood Beyondancing

Bollywood combines traditional Indian and Western music - a fusion of vibrancy, rhythm, energy, and colorful costumes. Founder Payal Wadhawan believes that age is no barrier when it comes to pursuing one’s passion for dance and serving the community. The group is based in West Hills. 

Megill & Company

Megill & Company is a nonprofit theater and dance production providing an artistic outlet for community members to take part in dance and theater at the semi-professional level. Productions are usually new works and are intelligent, finessed, humorous, clever, emotional and fulfilling to those on stage, backstage and in the audience. MeCo is committed to increasing dance notation awareness, education, and publication.

The Gypsydancers

The Gypsydancers have been performing together for almost 20 years. Their unique style is a blend of American, Turkish, Armenian, Lebanese, and Indian influences. Combining traditional and contemporary elements, their costumes and music reflect the evolving nature of belly dance. Driven by their love of dancing, The Gypsydancers aim to entertain audiences while honoring the rich tradition of belly dancing and the various revivals of this art form.

O'Shaughnessy Academy of Irish Dance

The Academy, founded in 2018 in Agoura Hills by Amelia O’Shaughnessy, provides a supportive and encouraging atmosphere where students work to their highest potential. The Academy promotes confidence, teamwork, and respect. 

The Moorpark Friends of the Library (MFOTL) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit tax-exempt organization registered with the IRS and the State of California.
